The Imperial Kegs

And weren't we good?? We were so committed, that we were occasionally called on to interrupt a pub crawl to play but, professionals that we were - always gave our best. This may or may not have involved being threatened ('you want to take this outside??') by the lovely lasses that wore black and yellow. Poor Mick (our coach - I think he took it a bit more seriously than we did..)

Photo's from a particularly hard training session at South Campus oval. ( hmm, I am mistaken in thinking that the actual ball doesn't get much of a look in except as a prop?)

We looked good anyway. Didn't we?? Yes, Yes we did.

And then came the presentation night. A 60's theme had been decided by the Indoor soccer association, and we could not resist the challenge. And at least one other table dressed up (although I seemed to remember they missed the 60's and hit the 50's look but at least they put in an effort). So we didn't stand out at all. Much.

But to make up for our outlandishly loud attire, we were subdued, polite participants in the evenings affair. Sort of.

Pete wore a wig - I wish I had that excuse, ahh perms - don't we miss them??

Damn, we were good.

Hopefully it won't be several months before the next set of photos goes up.

Col's 21st

Theme: superheroes

Date: April 1989

Location: Bruce's place, somewhere outback of Queanbeyan

Disturbing sites of the night (so very many): the cousins, Moose revealing his true identity (I would say strip tease but we've seen it all before..), Spak's very thin greenish undies with a snake tucked down the front (very classy), the one legged man falling off the verandah, Gary and Anna actually hiring costumes, Gerry as the Grim Reaper, Gerry clinging to the top of a car(??) that was doing doughnuts (??) in the paddock, headstand sculls, Reg (the dog not the parent) being barbequed, and let's face it, too many pouchy bits all around (I think I am referring to you mysterious PP),. Again memories are a bit fuzzy.

Apology: to Col, sorry I don't have any single photo's of you in your costume, only the morning after, in bed, next to Brett, xx.

Location - Caravan Park

Date - March(ish) 1989

Shorty, Spak and Dania
Bird boy

Loving the trendy ripped jeans

every party needs a hula hoop

Down, down...

Done.

The caravan park crew, in deep discussions, politics (more likely religion - with the conclusion from some that catholics apparently take it up the arse, thank you protestants.)

Col and Marg (young love)

Col, Moose and April

saving the most disturbing photo until last

why-oh-why is Dixon riding Moose???

Spring Boxers

Indoor cricket team, approx 1987(?). I am guessing they were successful, even with Goofy in the team...

L-R back row Greg F, ?, Robbo, Spak, Goofy
front row Paul G , Alan, Gudge and a very young and spunky Moose.

Very attractive V neck shirts boys.

Geoff's 21st part 2

This is the equivalent of where's Wally (ie I can't be bothered labelling them all).

So spotting those missing from last batch of photos - Mick R, Anna, Mick N, and Gerry.

And the question needs to be asked - why is Gary Knox wearing Geoff's silk shirt.
